This is Beck Isle Bridge in Pickering, Yorkshire with Liz Bonnin on top. As she says “When the river meets an obstacle like this bridge it will spill out”. Well this part of the bridge is actually 18 meters wide and has a further arch of 11m to the right that is partially blocked by the new building you can just see under the arch. This bridge is actually the widest part of the river - 90m downstream it is 7m wide, 800m downstream it is 3m wide, upstream it is 3m wide. This bridge is certainly not the cause of the flooding.
